What You’ll Do

As our Cost Estimator, you’ll be at the front end of our project lifecycle—where technical knowledge meets creative problem-solving. You’ll work with our team to analyze customer needs, assess feasibility, and build accurate, competitive quotes that reflect the Simplex standard.

You’ll:

• Review customer RFQs for technical and electrical feasibility
• Collaborate with Engineering, Inside Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to define scope, costs, and timelines
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system designs
• Recommend materials, estimate labor hours, and assess project risk
• Maintain and refine estimating templates for consistency and accuracy
• Stay current with UL, NEC, NFPA 79, and EN standards
• Partner with suppliers and integrators to ensure reliability and value

Who You Are:

You’re technically minded, detail-oriented, and love figuring out how things work—and what they’ll cost. You understand control panels, have some experience with electrical systems, and you’re not afraid to dive into schematics to get the details right.

You’ll thrive here if you have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in estimating, technical sales, or engineering in a manufacturing or controls environment
• Strong understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems and UL/NFPA/NEC standards
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM/estimating tools (JobBOSS a plus)
• UL MTR certification preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
