Haumiller Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Inspector. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for examining and measuring machined parts, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Inspects machined parts per unit using multiple inspection equipment, typically one-to-two-piece parts. Ensures that machined parts adhere to standards and procedures and comply with job specifications
  • Reviews blueprints and specifications to compare to produced parts
  • Uses precision hand tools to inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and conformity to specifications
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-work and wastes, and recording data
  • Create RTV (return to vendor) reports as needed and relays information to procurement department or vendors
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
  • Occasionally deburr and polish parts

What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma/GED and equivalent work experience. Associate’s degree, Vocational training, or equivalent quality inspection in machine tool or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Quality Control
  • Basic math skills required with experience in shop math and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience using tools of precision measurement such as calipers, dial gauges and micrometers, and the ability to use basic hand and power tools for set up and finishing parts. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand the design of a machine and its functionalities
  • Ability to diagnose deviations and make corrections
