Material Handler

Overview:
Lakeview Precision Machining, Inc. is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Material Handler to support our machine shop operations on 1st shift, Monday thru Friday 7am - 3pm. This is a hands-on, fast paced role that’s key to keeping our production floor running smoothly. You'll be responsible for unloading deliveries, organizing materials, and making sure machine operators have what they need, when they need it. Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the shop
• Maneuvering forklift through tight spaces around the shop
• Unload incoming trucks and verify correct materials received
  • unloading 12ft bars off of delivery trucks
• Deliver materials to machines and return finished parts or scrap to designated areas
  
  • Prep and stage material for machine operators
• Organize and store materials by material grade
• Spray painting ends of materials based on size
  
• Logging material locations in software system
• Assist with general shop cleanliness and safety practices
• Communicate with the team regarding material shortages or issues
• Perform daily forklift checks and basic maintenance

Requirements:

• Forklift experience required (certification a plus)
• Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for most of the day
• Strong attention to detail and a team-first attitude
  
• Basic understanding of shop material flow and safety protocols
